Dial 911 for emergencies.
But, now, in Toronto and Mississauga there's a new 1-1 number for accessing non-emergency city services and information. It's 311.

In Toronto, 311 has replaced the former Access Toronto. Customer service representatives are available to assist 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Many former department phone numbers now auto- matically default to the 311 service.<
